Torremolinos has a total of four beaches, which are very busy, especially in the summer.
Torremolinos beach is well known for its coast, but if you feel like discovering something more about the city there are some places you should not miss.
The most characteristic symbol of the city is the famous tower of Pimentel. 12 metres high and built of brick, it was built in the 14th century by the Moors as a watchtower to defend the city’s mills.
This tower is in front of the Bajondillo beach, if you cross some stairs you will reach the Casa de las Navajas. A building in Mozarabic style and declared a Building of Historical Interest by the Andalusian Government in 1991.
If you travel to Torremolinos with children you can visit Aqualand, the city’s water park. During the summer season it is the perfect place to spend a day with the family.
As you can see, there are more things to see in Torremolinos than just its beaches.
